Truck Festival returned to Hill Farm in Steventon for its 27th edition, kicking off with a lively Thursday night for early bird ticket holders. Over 25,000 festival-goers descended on the Oxfordshire countryside, eager to experience the festival’s signature mix of indie music, delicious food, and vibrant atmosphere. Despite a brief spot of rain, the energy was high, and the festival was ready to deliver another unforgettable weekend.

The evening began with Balancing Act, whose upbeat indie rock set the tone for the night.

Their lively performance drew in early crowds, setting the stage for The Mysterines, who followed with their gritty garage rock sound. The band’s intense energy and commanding stage presence were a perfect lead-in to the night’s headliners.

A quick nip over to the This Feeling Stage to finally check out Dirty Blonde who did not dissapoint. One to definitely keep an eye on!

IDLES closed out Thursday on the Main Stage with a ferocious set that embodied their reputation for visceral live performances. Tracks like Danny Nedelko and Mother ignited the crowd, with frontman Joe Talbot pacing the stage to psych himself and the audience up before launching into the chaos. Guitarist Mark Bowen wasted no time diving into the crowd, adding to the electric atmosphere. The band’s raw energy and politically charged lyrics made for a thrilling start to the weekend, leaving the audience buzzing for what was to come.
