Truck Festival returned to Hill Farm in Steventon for its 26th edition, kicking off with a warm and dry Thursday evening for early bird ticket holders. With a new entrance to the arena and the excitement of the festival’s opening night, the atmosphere was buzzing as attendees settled in for what promised to be another incredible weekend.

The evening began with Joely, whose upbeat set on the Main Stage set the tone for the night.

Dead Pony followed, delivering a gritty and energetic performance that drew in early crowds.

The Bug Club brought their quirky charm to the stage, while Swim Deep’s dreamy indie rock captivated the audience as the sun began to set.

The Wombats headlined Thursday night, and they did not disappoint. The Liverpool trio delivered a set packed with hits spanning their career, from their debut album A Guide to Love, Loss & Desperation to their latest single Method to the Madness. Tracks like Let’s Dance to Joy Division, Greek Tragedy, and Tokyo (Vampires & Wolves) had the crowd dancing and singing along, proving that The Wombats are still one of the most fun and energetic bands around. It’s hard to believe it’s been 20 years since their debut - time flies when you’re having fun!

Thursday’s opening night set the bar high, leaving everyone excited for the full weekend ahead.
