Truck Festival 2022 - Thursday - Live Review
Hill Farm, Oxfordshire
Truck Festival returned to Hill Farm in Steventon for its 25th anniversary, and after a three-year hiatus, the excitement was palpable. With over 25,000 festival-goers descending on the Oxfordshire countryside, the campsites were buzzing with people eager to experience the indie-heavy festival once again. Thankfully, the weather had cooled down from the record-breaking 40+ degrees earlier in the week, making for a much more comfortable start to the weekend.
Those lucky enough to snag a Thursday Early Access Ticket were treated to a fantastic opening night. Brooke Combe and Vistas got things rolling with energetic sets that set the tone for the weekend.

Later, Black Honey took to the stage, delivering their signature blend of indie rock with a confident and captivating performance.

The night’s headliners, Blossoms, closed out the first evening on a high. The Stockport-based band, fronted by Tom Ogden in a striking green suit, delivered a set packed with fan favorites. Tracks like Charlemagne and Your Girlfriend had the crowd singing along, but the highlight of the night came when they covered The Human League’s Don’t You Want Me, with the audience belting out every word. It was a perfect way to kick off the festival, leaving everyone buzzing for the days ahead.
