The final night of Nocturne Live 2022 may have brought rain, but it didn’t dampen the spirits of the crowd gathered at Blenheim Palace. With a Scottish-themed lineup featuring Caezar, Deacon Blue, and the legendary Simple Minds, the evening was a celebration of anthemic rock and enduring classics. Despite the weather, the energy in the Great Court remained high as fans braved the elements for a night of unforgettable performances.

Caezar opened the evening with an energetic set, their upbeat performance doing its best to lift the spirits of the damp crowd.

Deacon Blue took the stage as the rain poured down, but the band’s energy and enthusiasm kept the audience engaged. Tracks like Dignity and Real Gone Kid were highlights, with the crowd singing along despite the weather. The band’s resilience and connection with the audience made their set a memorable part of the evening.

Simple Minds closed the night, with Jim Kerr’s boundless energy keeping the crowd going despite the rain. Sliding on his knees and chatting with the audience between songs, Kerr’s charisma shone through. Classics like Belfast Child, Don’t You (Forget About Me), and Alive and Kicking were met with rapturous applause, though the rain did lead to a few empty seats by the end of the show. Despite the weather, Simple Minds delivered a powerful and memorable performance that capped off the evening.
